If you’re anything like me and have a lustrous love affair
with food then you’re going to simply adore ‘The Agony Chef’ by Kate Sidley.
The book is unravelled by the enigmatic Delilah, who is a sharp advice-giver,
food-lover and a bit of a wiseacre who seems more like the alter ego of author
Kate Sidley.
The Agony Chef does not only make sense, but it’s the kinda
book that makes you want to actually try out the recipes because they're so
damn easy, with no complex ingredients or foreign measuring terms (don't those
just grate your tits?).
After trying out the lamb chops with minted yoghurt sauce, roasted sweet potato and butternut salad with lime dressing, it is obvious why Delilah offers this recipe to poor Mildred, who just found out her son is gay and is bringing his "friend" over for lunch.

Oh and my absolute favourite, ladies you’re going to love this… There are also meals for wives whose men cheat - yes, you heard right! Basically you still cook for the bastard just make him a meal he absolutely loathes, such as a Layered Salmon Salad.
So
for recipes ranging from boozy chocolate mousse to delectable chicken pie, this
one is a must read for life’s incongruous snags.
